Current & Past Scores:
Wine Spectator Magazine (2009 Vintage):
"Starts out juicy, with plum and cherry notes that are fresh and lively, firming midpalate and ending with a drying herb aftertaste. Drink now through 2015. 4,500 cases made." –JL (Sep 30, 2012)
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2009 Vintage):
"Hitching Post’s 2009 Pinot Noir Hometown is an attractive, mid-weight wine laced with sweet red cherries, flowers and sweet spices. It shows good depth and balance to match its juicy personality. Best of all, it is a terrific value in Pinot Noir. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. " – Antonio Galloni (Aug 2012)
IWC Light, bright red. Vibrant red berry and peppery spice scents are reminiscent of a youthful Beaujolais. Taut and linear on the palate, offering tangy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of cracked pepper. Closes on a smoky note, with silky tannins and emphatic red fruit character. Drinking very nicely, and easily, right now.
